History

Riggs & Associates, Inc. began in 1987 as Riggs – Norsworthy Land Surveyors, Inc. In 1994 Ralph L. Riggs and wife Lisa became sole stockholders of the corporation. We have enjoyed solid and continual growth during our 16 years in business. From a two-person operation in a small basement office we have grown to one of the largest and most respected professional land surveying firms in the south central Missouri region.

Mission

The mission of Riggs & Associates is to provide professional land surveying and related services in a timely manner and for a reasonable fee.

Operating Region

Riggs & Associates, Inc. employs Professional Land Surveyors registered in Missouri, Arkansas and Kansas. We normally operate within a 200 mile radius of West Plains, Missouri. All survey crews are fully equipped with mobile office capabilities and are accustomed to extensive travel.

Employees

At Riggs & Associates our most valued asset is our employees. They are resourceful and innovative in response to the many challenging and unique surveying situations they encounter. Our employees are proficient in the use of advanced technological equipment such as GPS (Global Positioning System). All key personnel are members of the Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors and regularly attend continuing education seminars and short-courses.

Key Personnel

Ralph L. Riggs, PLS, President, is a professional land surveyor in Missouri, Arkansas and Kansas with over 23 years of land surveying experience. He is in his fourth term as Howell County Surveyor, is a past president of the Missouri Association of County Surveyors, past chairman of the Land Survey Advisory Committee of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and is a past director of the Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors.
Ray L. Riggs, PLS, Project Surveyor, is a professional land surveyor in Missouri with over 20 years of land surveying experience in Missouri. He has been employed with Riggs & Associates, Inc. for 14 years. He completed his surveying education at the University of Maine and the University of Wyoming and is a member of the Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors.
Chris Webster, Senior CAD Draftsman, has been with Riggs & Associates, Inc. for over 11 years. He oversees all of the production drafting and maintains computer and website operations for the company. He has an Associates Degree in CAD Drafting from Linn Technical College and is a member of the Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors.
